This segment will include many forms of reviews, including books, movies, musicians and acting roles.  At the moment we do not have much material in this area, but will move fast to improve this situation.  Your input on the forum will also help us gauge some areas we are not strong in.  So, feel free to join in and offer opinions.

MOVIES:

SAW, the series of three now by Iron Gate Entertainment is Iron Pyramid’s top pick for horror genre.  IGE has succeeded in separating itself from the crowd, and the American look and feel of slasher movies.  This British Columbia based company has also had the genius to use basic standard materials and props, more dependent on good acting and hands-on mechanical effect than the magic of expensive new technologies.  We see a good deal of intelligence behind the scenes at Iron Gate, since they know how to use the best economical tools to make good entertainment at low cost and high profits.

MOVIE RELATED:

            I ask that all movie fans, everywhere try to refrain from going to view another new Christmas movie this year.  We are already swamped with countless sugar coated Christmas tales, made expressly for the fast buck, and fooling the five year olds.  My suggestion is, take the kids to see ‘Happy Feet’ instead.

MUSIC:

            At the moment we do not have any real picks here, new and exciting music appears to be in something of a slump these days.  We hope we are wrong.  Perhaps you know a local band that can prove this is not the case.  If so, send a copy of their CD or DVD to Iron Pyramid for a review and an award.  Sponsorship and partnerships are possible.  Let me hear and see your work, and maybe we can negotiate a deal.

ART:

            In the area of art we are seeking that which exceeds so much of the standard university genre appearance.  Most art in recent years has a plastic flower look compared to older standards, and has attempted to make us all believe copycatting is the real thing.  Send us samples of your work.  We buy art.  Book cover art and illustrations are always needed.  If we do not purchase your work, it may still be eligible for an award and spotlighted for others to see.

BOOKS:

            At the moment we do not have any book reviews available, since Iron Pyramid seeks to locate writing talent in more obscure and independent markets.  Many of the top name writers tend to appear too commercial for our tastes, and we are seeking to change the appearance of writers for the future as opposed to that of the Ivy League recluse-eccentric of the past.  We are not only seeking writer celebrities, but intend to help talented innovative writers develop as celebrities, to earn top dollars.  Candidates will be younger, more active, open minded persons, not confined to the standards of past publishing, including English-grammar rules.  The only requirements are consistent responsibility, detail to time and schedules, and good, new, thought provoking subject matter.  Controversial subjects done in taste are preferred.  We are seeking leaders to open a new frontier on a higher literary plateau.
